Can I transfer gold in RM?
No. Your gold transfer is denominated in grams of gold. Both you and your recipient will be able to see the exact RM value of gold based on the current gold prices.
Whom can I send gold to?
For the moment, you can only send gold to other HelloGold account holders. You need to ensure the email address you send to is the email address the recipient uses for his/her HelloGold account.
What is the maximum and minimum amount of gold I can send?
The minimum amount of gold you can send is 0.001g per transaction. The maximum amount of gold you can send is up to 10g of gold per day subject to the gold balance in your HelloGold account.
What happens if the recipient does not accept the gold sent to him/her?
Once you have transferred gold to a recipient, the recipient has 24 hours to accept the gold. If the recipient does not accept the gold within this time, the gold would automatically be returned to your HelloGold account.
How is the administrative fee charged?
The administrative fee will be deducted from the sender’s account. What happens if the recipient does not have a HelloGold account?
For recipients who do not have a HelloGold account, we will ask you if you would like to send an invitation to your intended recipient to sign up for an account. Once they have completed their registration and their account has been approved, you will then only be able to send gold to them.
Am I able to send gold in the form of a physical gold wafer/ coin/ bar?
When you send gold on HelloGold, you are transferring the ownership of the amount of your gold you wish to send from your HelloGold account to the recipient’s HelloGold account. When the gold is accepted, the recipient may then choose to [redeem] physical gold and the associated redemption charges will apply to them.
Am I able to cancel or withdraw a gold transfer after I have sent it out?
A transfer cannot be cancelled or withdrawn once you have entered the OTP to confirm sending it.
How do I reject a gold transfer?
If you do not wish to accept the gold transferred to you, do not click on the “Accept Now” button and wait for the gold transfer to expire. The gold sent will then be returned to the sender automatically.
What happens if the gold transfer expires before I accept it?
The gold transfer will expire in 24 hours after the time of sending and will be returned to the sender automatically. The recipient will not be able to accept the gold after it expires. However, the sender can resend the gold to the recipient.
I have accidentally entered the wrong email address to send gold to, what do I do?
Once your gold has been sent, it cannot be revoked. Confirmation screens are put in place with the request of an OTP to ensure you are certain of the person you wish to send your gold to.
